In previous reviews particularly of Jason Derulo's material, I had mention the concept of musical guilty pleasures and promised my readers a Music Matters post on the subject (it is coming I promise). In preparation for that fully fleshed out post, here is another artist who is sure to make the list and that is the one and only Meghan Trainor. I am a fan of her music in particular her second studio album titled "Thank You" as it is one of my favourite albums of all time, check out my retrospective review of that album here. However, I have never followed up with her career post her sophomore album. So after reviewing that album for the blog, I did my research and find out she had released an album in 2026 titled "Toy With Me" and decided to give it a listen. With that being said let us see what she has in store for us with her latest release.

Denzel Spencer (born April 18, 1996), better known by his stage name Roy Woods (also stylized as Roy Wood$), is a Canadian singer, rapper, and songwriter.[2][3] He signed with Drake's record label OVO Sound, an imprint of Warner Records in 2014. His first two albums, Waking at Dawn (2016) and Say Less (2017), both moderately entered the Canadian Albums Chart and US Billboard 200. Album Review: "June" By De'Wayne
