EP Review: "Miss Michigan" by Momo Boyd

Thalia Mozia Boyd better known as Momo Boyd is no stranger to avid readers of this blog. She has been featured on the Hot 10 list and the most prestigious (If I may so) Year End Recap favourite solo songs list with "American Love Story" in 2025. She is a member of the American soft rock sibling band Infinity Song with her brothers Abraham, Israel and sister Angel. However, besides sharing suggestive videos of her brother to get the ladies and men lusting, she has began to release her own solo music. It started in May 2025 when she released her first solo song the aforementioned "American Love Song" which was met with social media controversy. Yet, she kept pushing and recently had a small breakout hit as a featured artist along with Kendrick Lamar on the song "Good Flirts" by Baby Keem from his most recent album "Casino", check out by review here . Looking to capitalize on the momentum from the track, Momo has released her first solo project titled " Miss Michigan". Here is what Momo Boyd had to say about her debut EP:

"My first ever solo project “MISS MICHIGAN” the EP will be out into the world this Friday, 4/10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woahhhhh what a crazy sentence to be saying😭🥹✨👸🏾🦌 this project is for everybody who refuses to be boxed into one lane, for the people who dare to dream and try everything that calls their name. For people who want to cry and dance and dream of love all in 22 minutes lol

This is for my family, my parents, born and raised in Michigan. For the younger version of myself, born in Michigan where the seeds of a big dream were planted before my family moved to NY & NJ. I felt it only right to take things back to the beginning as I begin this new era for myself.

I hope I’m making you all proud, but I guess more than anything I’m really proud of myself and that’s a biggg deal lol

Denzel Spencer (born April 18, 1996), better known by his stage name Roy Woods (also stylized as Roy Wood$), is a Canadian singer, rapper, and songwriter.[2][3] He signed with Drake's record label OVO Sound, an imprint of Warner Records in 2014. His first two albums, Waking at Dawn (2016) and Say Less (2017), both moderately entered the Canadian Albums Chart and US Billboard 200. Woods has also founded his own collective, Unlock the Underground. Album Review: "June" By De'Wayne
