By now avid readers of this blog know the script. I was scrolling through my favourite album news site to see what albums has been released and stumbled upon an artist I knew nothing about that had a captivating name. So, as you know by now I had to give the album a listen which leads to a review on the blog. The new artist whose album cover art piqued my interest is DoggyStyleeee.
DoggyStyleeee born Chris Parson is a west coast rapper currently living in San Bernardino, CA, United States.
The rapper is also known as Lil Slop Loc in his neighborhood.
Doggystyleeee’s father was the founder of CGC, California Garden Crips. Naturally, the rapper is strongly associated with this gang, something that is often showed off in his songs' official videos.
On October 4, 2019 Doggystyleeee dropped his debut mixtape titled Into Something, Vol. 1 which included the hit song “We Different” one of his first songs to get major recognition from other parts of America and the world.
Around 4 months after releasing his debut mixtape, Doggystyleeee released the second volume of the same project, Into Something, Vol. 2.
Shortly after, the rapper started his new project by releasing his third studio album entitled No Muttz Allowed.
A few months after, Lil slop Loc relesed the second part of their project called No Muttz Allowed, Pt.2, Full Breed.
A month after, Doggystyleeee was shot twice, once on his knee and once on his hip by a street rival gang member. So was his uncle who died at the scene and a third unknown victim who, alongside Doggystyleeee went to ICU as both were in critical conditions.
The rapper never stopped producing new material. During his recovery he released half a dozen singles. On December 21, Doggystyleeee released Revenge of The Dogg in which he talked about the incident and dissed his rival gang members.
Doggystyleeee released another album and several singles and, in 2022, he released Hit Em Up alongside Death Row Records.
Rumors that Doggystyleeee had signed with Death Row Records, now owned by “The Father of Rap” Snoop Dogg. However, Doggystyleeee still isn’t to this day signed with any label, leaving him as an independent artist.. Nevertheless, the rapper has great relations with Snoop Dogg and even released a single with him named Say It Witcha Chest. Excerpt taken from DoggyStyleeee
