Here is another album review brought to you via an interesting album cover.

By now avid readers of this blog know the script. I was scrolling through my favourite album news site to see what albums has been released and stumbled upon an artist I knew nothing about that had a captivating album cover. So, as you know by now I had to give the album a listen which leads to a review on the blog. The new artist whose album cover art piqued my interest is DC The Don.

Daijon Cotty Davis (born August 3, 1999), known professionally as DC the Don, is an American rapper and singer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is recognized for mixing elements of hip-hop, rock, and melodic rap in his music. Prior to his rap career, Davis played high school basketball, alongside NBA star LaMelo Ball, as they both participated in the sports program at Chino Hills High School in Chino Hills, California. In his quick rise in popularity, he has already performed and collaborated with the likes of Trippie Redd, Lil Mosey, Ugly God, and Almighty Jay. He was close friends with late rapper Sad Frosty and producer Trademark. DC The Don’s SoundCloud dates back to March 2017 and his first track, Everything 1K, was featured in Big Baller Brand’s first ever sneaker commercial. Having played basketball at Chino Hills High School, the trio of Ball brothers are former teammates and friends of DC. In October 2017 DC released Halloween on 47th St. on SoundCloud. The 5-song EP has amassed well over 2 million streams and DC followed up with two more mini-projects over the next 2 years, titled Fuck Hell and DC Dahmer exclusively produced by Izak and Trademark respectively. Over the course of multiple Fridays in 2019, DC released a series of singles that were packaged into a mixtape titled DC FRIDAYS. His debut studio album Come As You Are was released on August 7, 2020, with the deluxe releasing on November 20 of the same year. Excerpt taken from DC The Don

Denzel Spencer (born April 18, 1996), better known by his stage name Roy Woods (also stylized as Roy Wood$), is a Canadian singer, rapper, and songwriter.[2][3] He signed with Drake's record label OVO Sound, an imprint of Warner Records in 2014. His first two albums, Waking at Dawn (2016) and Say Less (2017), both moderately entered the Canadian Albums Chart and US Billboard 200. Woods has also founded his own collective, Unlock the Underground. Album Review: "June" By De'Wayne
