Album Review: "Backward" by Jordan Ward

Jordan Ward is back with his sophomore effort titled "Backward".

Jordan Alexander Ward (born February 1, 1995) is an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. He began his career as a dancer before transitioning to music.

Jordan studied dance, including ballet, jazz, and hip-hop, throughout his teens. Before venturing into music, Jordan Ward established himself as a dancer, training and performing with various dance companies and in numerous stage productions. After graduating from high school, he moved to Los Angeles, where he worked as a backup dancer, touring with artists including Justin Bieber, Becky G, Janet Jackson, Usher, and Beyoncé.

Ward launched his professional music career in 2017. In 2023, Ward released his debut studio album, Forward. Ward was nominated in 2024 for the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding New Artist at the 55th NAACP Image Awards. Excerpt taken from Jordan Ward

Honestly, I did listen to his first album and gave it a lukewarm review when this blog was just on Instagram. His debut album was good but it just was not for me so hopefully this second album can change my mind and make me fan. Let us see what he has in store for us!

Denzel Spencer (born April 18, 1996), better known by his stage name Roy Woods (also stylized as Roy Wood$), is a Canadian singer, rapper, and songwriter.[2][3] He signed with Drake's record label OVO Sound, an imprint of Warner Records in 2014. His first two albums, Waking at Dawn (2016) and Say Less (2017), both moderately entered the Canadian Albums Chart and US Billboard 200. Woods has also founded his own collective, Unlock the Underground. Album Review: "June" By De'Wayne

I came across a snippet of the video on Twitter and decided to give the song a listening ear and I instantly feel in love.
