The standard has arrived to the this blog! Who is the standard? It is none other than the newly deemed Queen of Music herself Beyoncé Giselle Knowles Carter or as most people would call her simply Beyoncé. Recently, she has been in the news as she has always has been from the inception of her illustrious career for things she may and may not have done. Additionally, she has been the hot topic target for fake social justice warriors on social media waiting to overanalyze her mere existence . However, no matter the reason she is in the news one thing is certain, she will always have the attention of the public looking forward to see what she is going to do next in her music career. From the leader of one of the most successful girl groups of all time to a R&B sensation as a new solo act to a pop diva with crossover appeal and later in her career becoming a cultural icon and musical fortress blazing her own path by being her own manager, fans have been along for the ride. Now it seems that this ride is going to continue in 2026 as they are eagerly anticipating her final act in her three part era (Renaissance and Cowboy Carter) which is rumoured to be a Rock N Roll and Funk leaning offering. Honestly, I am one of this fans impatiently waiting to see how she closes out her trilogy as Mrs. Carter is my favourite artist of all time. Read that again! She is MY favourite artist of all time. I did not say she is the best artist of all time seeing that fans of legends that would have influenced her seem to get bothered when that declaration is made but that is my truth and you will get over it. Her music and live performances have been the soundtrack of my journey in this realm and has assisted me in getting through some of the most difficult times in my life. So let us take a journey down memory lane before she snatches our edges with her upcoming project. With that mind I have decided to share my top 12 favourite tracks from her iconic discography throughout her distinguished career. The tunes that were chosen represent singles which are songs that were released to multiple formats to promote her various albums. The songs are listed in chronological order based on the release date of her albums and is not ranked in terms of personal favourability.
