EP Review: "The Last Dance (Part 1)" by Jason Derulo

I have a confession to make since I have been hiding this dirty little secret forever. I love Jason Derulo! He remains one of top musical guilty pleasures (stay tune for a feature on this blog about that topic). Jason is an attractive black man with a great body who sings well plus can hit a nasty 8 count and makes great music. What's there not to love? It is quite popular on social media for folks to label him as "corny" or "lame" which I must say that I can understand why others may have that perception of him but I do not care. However, what I am ashamed to admit that is that although I like how he looks and his music, I have never listened to any of his albums. What a shame! I know and love his singles such as "Ridin Solo", "In My Head", "It Girl", "Talk Dirty", "Swalla", "If I'm Lucky" etc. but I have not listened to any of his albums. Thankfully, in 2026 this has changed as I have listened to his sixth EP titled "The Last Dance (Part 1)". Hopefully, at the end I can say that I am more than just a lover of his face, physique and his most popular singles but also a lover of his artistry. Let us see what he has in store for us with his latest release.

Album Review: "June" By De'Wayne
