EP Review: "Mood Swings" by Mario

This is most likely the first time that this popular notation has been mentioned on this blog. It is time to separate the artist from the art! Which artist has this distinct dishonour on the blog is none other than Mario. Mario should be staging a comeback after putting his music career on the back burner due to several personal and professional issues but his name has not been in the midst of favourable news as of late. The singer has gone viral in the last few months for some rather unpleasant outburst making him more popular for his bloated ego which manifests itself via his distasteful attitude. As a longtime fan, these recent developments has made me weary of him and consuming his art especially when I discovered he had released an EP. However I decided to bite the bullet and give it a listen mostly because I have never listened to an entire album but just his singles. Here's a quick recap for those who may have forgotten about him. Mario Dewar Barrett (not to be confused with Super Mario) is an American singer, songwriter, actor, record producer and model. He is best known for his singles “Let Me Love You”, “Break Up”, and “Somebody Else”. He has worked with a plethora of artists, such as Gucci Mane, Cassidy, The Game, Big Sean, Lil Jon, Nicki Minaj, and Fabolous, among others. Excerpt taken from https://genius.com/artists/Mario

Album Review: "June" By De'Wayne
