EP Review: "Love Is A Kingdom" by Tems

Isn't Tems just full of surprises? The Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer has been on quite a run ever since raising in prominence in 2020 with her massive hit collab with Wizkid . After releasing two EPs titled "For Broken Ears" and "If Orange Was a Place" in 2020 and 2021 respectively, she released her debut studio album titled "Born In The Wild" in 2024 which she supported by embarking on a world tour. Also in 2024, Tems received the highest nomination for an African act at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, earning three nominations: Born in the Wild for Best Global Music Album, "Burning" for Best R&B song and won "Love Me JeJe" for Best African Music Performance . Tems became the first Nigerian artist to win multiple Grammy Awards. In 2025, Tems became the first African woman to have part ownership in a Major League Soccer team by joining the San Diego FC ownership group. Then on November 21 she surprised released her latest EP titled "Love Is A Kingdom". So with that in mind let us see what she has in store for us with the third and latest EP.

Denzel Spencer (born April 18, 1996), better known by his stage name Roy Woods (also stylized as Roy Wood$), is a Canadian singer, rapper, and songwriter.[2][3] He signed with Drake's record label OVO Sound, an imprint of Warner Records in 2014. His first two albums, Waking at Dawn (2016) and Say Less (2017), both moderately entered the Canadian Albums Chart and US Billboard 200. Woods has also founded his own collective, Unlock the Underground. I came across a snippet of the video on Twitter and decided to give the song a listening ear and I instantly feel in love.
