Album Review: "The Diamond Tape" by D'So Nyce

"The Diamond Tape" by  D'So Nyce album cover
This is different! Devoted readers of this blog by now know the many different ways I discover new artist. There is my favourite music site I use to find artist's name and/or album cover and names that are intriguing. Then there is YouTube ads or an artist trending on social media. However, this time was different like I mentioned in my opening statement. As I was updating my Twitter profile (check out my Twitter here) I saw I had a notification so naturally I checked it out. It was an artist named  D'So Nyce. He praised my review of Trevor Jackson's album (check it out here) and asked me to review his album that he recently released titled "The Diamond Tape". As a lover of music I decided to give his project a listen especially since he was so polite in his request and him being attractive did not hurt his case. Here is a little more information about D'So Nyce.

From the south suburb of Chicago called Cal City is bringing that smooth, hip hop and bounce to the game. With his numerous flows, unorthodox hooks, and witty punchlines he should do just that. He never really knew if his calling would be in sports or music. But in 2012 music called when forming a group with former classmates Melodic Muzik under the moniker D-One. A slight break from music 2016 work on his solo sound has created this new & refreshing persona D’So Nyce. 2022 has seen the self proclaimed “Smooth Operator” drop a plethora of vibes. His 1st EP “Waiting To Inhale” was released on April 20th. Several videos have been put out as well as blog write ups from (TheWordIsBond, Faded4u, etc..) to support the release. The mellow nature of the songs tend to leave your head nodding and ear feigning for more.  Excerpt taken from https://unitedmasters.com/a/dsonyce
