Album Review: "WAITING on YOU" by Jon B

"WAITING on YOU" by Jon B album cover
I was too young to see Jon B the infamous blue eyed soul crooner in his heyday. As a matter of fact my introduction to Mr. Buck was through the formerly named VH1 Soul now named BET Soul music channel. For those who may be too young to know what I am talking about, VH1 Soul was a channel dedicated to playing Soul, R&B, Gospel, Hip-Hop/Rap videos daily. It was basically a black version of what MTV used to do with their channel. VH1 Soul played a massive role in creating my deep love for music and the development of my musical taste. Anyway back to the subject of this review, the first song I heard and video I watched from Jon was "Comfortable Swagg" which I instantly loved. However I must be honest and admit that was the beginning and end of me following Jon B's career. I did not go back to listen to his previous work and did no research to listen to his most recent work. Fast forward to 2025 in which I started this blog and made it my goal to listen to as many artist as I possibly can. Then I found out that he had released his eight studio album titled "Waiting on You". So it does not have to be said that I knew that I had to listen to the album. So with that being said, let us see what he has in store for us!
