Album Review: "MOOD CONTROL" by BLK ODYSSY

"MOOD CONTROL" by BLK ODYSSY album cover
The wonders are great album cover can do for any artist is BEYOND measure. By now, everyone who follows this blog knows I use a specific music website to keep track of the albums, EPs, mixtapes etc. that have been released. In checking the website this week, an album cover instantly captured my interest as I scroll through the list of album released. So any regular follower of this blog knows that it is in my nature to automatically give an album a listening ear when I like the cover art and this time was no different. This is how I was introduced to the artist BLK ODYSSY. BLK ODYSSY is an Austin-based artist and producer whose genre-bending sound draws from funk, rock, soul, hip-hop, R&B, and beyond. His music blends cinematic production with surreal, emotional songwriting that pulls listeners into another world. Excerpt taken from https://www.youtube.com/@BLKODYSSY . About the album he said, "I made this record to remind people that sound can change how we feel, how we think, and how we move. Every song carries an emotion, a frequency tied to that emotion. The world’s been stuck in noise and static, the media’s got us numb to truth and desensitized to what’s real. So we made a record that plays like a radio station, one that unconsciously rewires that in the minds of its listeners. It’s a broadcast no one was ever supposed to hear." With that being said let us see what he has in store for us!
