In a previous review I had mentioned some of my favourite new musical discoveries of 2025. Imagine my shock and horror when rereading the published post to realize that one of  if not my favourite musical discovery of the year so far had not been mentioned. I truly cannot believe I forgot to mentioned the Hip Hop duo PARTYOF2. Shame! Shame! Shame! Anyway, I plan to make up for it with a review of their official studio debut album as a duo tilted "AMERIKA’S NEXT TOP PARTY!". However before my review here is a quick reminder of who PARTYOF2 are and how the duo come about: Originally founded in 2019 as Grouptherapy (stylized as grouptherapy.) by Swim, Jadagrace, TJOnline, and Rhea, the group rebranded following the departures of Rhea and TJOnline in 2020 and 2024, respectively. On March 20, TJOnline announced his departure from Grouptherapy, with Swim and Jadagrace to continue as a duo. On January 16, 2025, the duo announced their new name, "PARTYOF2". Alongside it, they dropped a song and a music video titled “we owe you an explanation”. On March 14, 2025, the duo released an EP titled “we owe you an explanation”, the first project under their new moniker and to be released by Def Jam Recordings. On April 2, 2025, a music video for the single “poser” was released, becoming the duo’s most popular single and first video in the group’s history to reach over a million views on YouTube. On September 5, 2025, the duo announced their debut album “AMERIKA’S TOP NEXT PARTY” which was released on October 17, 2025. Denzel Spencer (born April 18, 1996), better known by his stage name Roy Woods (also stylized as Roy Wood$), is a Canadian singer, rapper, and songwriter.[2][3] He signed with Drake's record label OVO Sound, an imprint of Warner Records in 2014. His first two albums, Waking at Dawn (2016) and Say Less (2017), both moderately entered the Canadian Albums Chart and US Billboard 200. Woods has also founded his own collective, Unlock the Underground. Album Review: "June" By De'Wayne

I came across a snippet of the video on Twitter and decided to give the song a listening ear and I instantly feel in love. This new discovery filled me with so much joy because as an avid music listener I  always seek to expand my musical horizons to listen to genres I usually do not follow.
