Album Review: "Mr. Carter Pt. 1" by Terrell Carter

Tyler Perry is the gift that keeps on giving, isn't he? What do I mean you may ask? Tyler Perry movies and eventually his iconic stage plays were a central part of my childhood and helped to shape my love for TV, plays and movies. Everyone knows that a staple of a Perry stage play is amazing singers getting to showcase their stellar vocals. This is how I came to know about Mr. Terrell Carter! My introduction to this incredible vocalist was the classic Tyler Perry's Madea Class Reunion stage play that I watched non stop on DVD (remember those things?). Carter sang his entire heart, soul and body out about his wife cheating on him although he was nothing but an outstanding husband plus it did not hurt that he was also pleasing to my eyes. Here I go again lusting after another male artist! Anyway, back then I did not conceptualize that Terrell could have been a music artist so I never sought out his music. Fast forward to 2025 after seeing Carter in the hit show ""Beauty in Black" and thirst following him on Instagram, I discovered he had released an album titled Mr. Carter Pt. 1and I knew I had to give it an listening ear. Let us see what he has in store for us!
