Rewind: Ne-Yo (Singles Discography)

It may be difficult for one to believe but there was a time where Ne-Yo dominated the R&B scene, the charts plus wrote your favourite songs. He has often been labeled as the guy who was too good at writing a love song from the perspective of a women and we now understand why based on the recent news about his relationships. *chuckles* Over the last few years this R&B icon's career has taken several hits due to cheating scandals, colorism allegations and the most recent headlines about his unconventional relationship style. Yet, I would like to take it back to a simpler time when the main focus was on the gigantic hits he wrote for others but also himself. It may not seem so but Ne-Yo was right alongside Usher, Chris Brown, Mario, Omarion, Maxwell etc. dominating and keeping male R&B on the map in the 2000s and even into the 2010s. One could even make the argument that he has one of if not the best catalog (especially his first three albums) and is the overall the better artist among his R&B peers. So with that mind I have decided to share my top 12 favourite tracks from his iconic discography throughout his distinguished career. The tunes that were chosen represent singles which are songs that were released to multiple formats to promote his various albums. The songs are listed in chronological order based on the release date of her albums and is not ranked in terms of personal favourability.
