Rewind: Celine Dion (Singles Discography)

One of the most difficult things in life is seeing your loved ones age and revert back to the childlike state they once occupied before you came into the picture usually due to declining health. This process is not only difficult when it is your close relatives but also when it is people you most likely will never meet yet they had a profound impact on your life. One such person is the incomparable Celine Dion. As most music lovers know, the legend has recently announced that she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) and has been transparent in sharing her journey in dealing with the disorder. Stiff person syndrome (SPS) is a rare neurological disorder characterized by progressive muscle stiffness and painful spasms, primarily affecting the trunk and limbs. It's considered an autoimmune condition, where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks healthy nerve cells. Due to the disorder, she cancelled several live shows but has vowed to be back on the stage which feels like a second home. In true Celine fashion, she held up her end of the bargain when she performed at the Eiffel Tower during the opening ceremony of the 2024 summer Olympics. While she has not announced any new tour dates as she continues to battle the disorder, that doesn't have any impact on her remarkable legacy and the decades of great vocals and music she has given the world.
